Fund Raising and Donating

On Monday 8th October 12 bells arrived at Yarkhill Church, four old bells had been renovated by Mr Nicholson, the bell hanger, and eight new bells are the first new ring of bells to be installed in a church in Herefordshire for 60 years;  how appropriate that they are in the church where Fabian Stedman (the Father of Change Ringing) was baptised.  Eminent bellringers came together to try out the new bells on Friday 26th October, some of whom had actually donated a bell,  and rang a taste of Stedman caters.   Excited bell ringers and parishioners were very moved to hear the bells peal from this important old tower and after a few adjustments they will be ready to ring for the first time at the service on 4th November. The bells were blessed on 9th October and Bishop Anthony will lead a service to consecrate the bells on January 13th 2013 at 3:30pm

Supporting the Bell Project

WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR £40000 as we would like to install a new ringing floor and balcony in the tower and in the base of the tower inside the church a toilet facility and kitchenette.  In addition to that we have to pay off a loan of £12000.

If you would like to support this exciting project we would love to hear from you. All donations will be acknowledged and we are grateful for any funds we receive. If you are a UK Tax payer you can also gift aid your donation that allows us to receive an extra 25 pence per £1 given. So for example if you donate £20 we would also receive an additional £5 from the treasury. Gift aid forms can be printed off from this page.

Donations may be sent to:
